The Chartered IIA has announced the appointment of John Wood as interim CEO.
“John is a very experienced interim CEO and Chairman, with a blend of commercial, not-for-profit and third sector experience to call upon, who specializes in advising organizations who are going through change and growth,” the organization said in a statement.
“I am very much looking forward to leading the Chartered IIA over the next few months and continuing its great work,” said Wood. “My focus over the coming months will be to ensure that the Institute remains ‘fit for purpose’ in delivering its strategic objectives, with a sound financial base and emphasis on meeting member needs.”
The Chartered IIA recently released a new Internal Audit Code of Practice after a series of high-profile business collapses in the United Kingdom.
John replaces Ian Peters, who left the organization in December 2019.
