While Internal Audit 360° is a completely non-political entity, we are, at heart, editors and journalists, and we believe whole-hardheartedly in the idea of a free and unencumbered press. When a leader calls the press “the enemy of the people” we feel a need to speak up and disagree. We stand with those who believe in the need to push back on the idea that news men and woman aren’t here to bring the honest truth to the people.
We ask you, President Trump, to please stop calling out and attacking members of the media for doing their jobs. We are proud to join with hundreds of news organizations around the country to call for the Trump Administration’s war on the press and news organizations to stop. This editorial is one of hundreds being published today in a coordinated effort to alert the American people to the dangers inherent in the president’s actions, which are intended to undermine the ability of the press to question, examine, and investigate on behalf of all citizens.
